Although it is possible to Electroform various alloys, Precision Micro work almost exclusively with hard and soft Nickel due to its mechanical durability, low inner tension and high corrosion resistance.

Multiple Thicknesses

As material is grown, non standard thicknesses are possible.

Material Hardness

250 — 550 VPN depending on hard or soft nickel.

High Quality Finish

The surface can be controlled to give a very high quality mirror finish, alternatively dull or even a black finish can be provided.

Stress and Burr Free

The process is carried out at relatively low temperatures, and induces little stress or deformation. Components are as flat as the mandrel on which they are grown.

Variations in Properties

Electrolytes can be selected or modified to give control over magnetic, optical, electrical conductivity and thermal properties, as well as stress, ductility and hardness variations.
